AI Integration: A Conversational Assistant for Your Software

BYK Software adds artificial intelligence capabilities to business software. Your users ask questions about ERP, production or laboratory data in plain language; your customers get product and order information over WhatsApp, e-mail or web chat. AI does not replace your existing system; it makes its data easier to use.

In the setup we build, the language model can run on your own server, in which case your data is not sent outside. The assistant does not run free-form commands; it only performs the operations defined and permitted for it.

The AI assistant we developed for our production software erdata answers questions about orders, production, subcontracted operations, stock and shipments without searching for a report screen. Questions such as "Which orders are overdue this week?" or "Summarise jobs waiting at subcontractors by company" are answered directly.

The same AI core also works on customer channels. A customer writing on WhatsApp gets answers about the product catalogue; requests that need the sales team become entries in a list inside the ERP, where their status (new, in progress, closed) and follow-up reminders are tracked.

Byk is a voice assistant our team developed for its own use. When called "Byk" it starts listening, turns speech into text, understands what is asked and runs the matching action from a defined set; it shows the result on screen and reads it aloud.
