KalData Saha is our mobile solution that gathers the entire field work of calibration technicians into a single app. From task planning to job completion, the process runs on mobile:

• Reading device serial numbers via QR/barcode
• Device acceptance, certificate creation and approval

• On-site label and document printing via Bluetooth printer

• An offline queue of pending jobs that works even without internet

A certificate record sent to the TÜRKAK Document Verification System (TBDS) cannot be undone. When a technician working on a phone in the field requests a number for the wrong device, sends a second request for the same device, or submits an out-of-scope device to TBDS, the result is a record that is troublesome to correct afterwards. KalData Saha is designed to stop these errors before they happen.

Protection works in three layers: status is always visible on screen, explicit confirmation is required before irreversible actions, and the binding rules are enforced on the server. Because the rules live in the same service layer as the web application, the office and the field get the same result.

The images below are the application's own screens; the company, devices and numbers shown are sample data.

• Status badges: Devices that already have a number are listed with a green “TBDS Ser No” badge, and TÜRKAK-scope devices awaiting a number with an orange “TBDS bekliyor” (pending) badge. The information is conveyed by icon and text, not by colour alone.
• No badge for out-of-scope devices: Devices without TÜRKAK accreditation do not show the pending badge, so users are not steered towards a needless action.
• Bulk requests with multi-select: Devices in an intake record are ticked and submitted in a single request; the button shows how many devices are selected.
• An ineligible device does not stop the batch: Non-TÜRKAK devices, devices that already have a number and devices belonging to a contracted laboratory are skipped and the reason is reported in the summary message, while the remaining devices are processed.

• Confirmation step: Tapping “TBDS No Al” (Get TBDS No) opens a confirmation dialog that names the device and states clearly that the action cannot be undone. If the user cancels, no data is sent.
• Duplicate request prevention: On a device that already has a TBDS number, the button is replaced by a notice that the number has already been obtained. Even if the same request arrives another way, the server rejects it.
• Lock against double taps: While the operation is in progress the screen is locked by a progress dialog that cannot be dismissed by tapping outside, so the same request cannot be sent twice.

The pre-checks in the mobile app exist to save the user wasted effort; the binding decision is made on the server. In the following cases no request is sent to TBDS and the reason is reported to the user:

• TBDS integration is disabled in the organisation settings
• The device already has a TBDS number
• The device's measurement range is not within TÜRKAK accreditation scope
• The calibration location is a contracted laboratory
• The record is non-conforming or cancelled
• The record is flagged as a legacy record
• The user does not have save permission

If the customer is already registered in TBDS under a different title, no duplicate customer record is created; the existing TBDS customer record is used and the operation continues. Because the business rules live in the same service as the web screen, they are not copied into the mobile app and the two sides cannot behave differently.

• Extended timeout: Because TBDS calls go to an external system, the timeout for these operations is kept long (90 seconds for a single device, 4 minutes for a batch), so a late response is not cut off early.
• Automatic follow-up: The number arrives from TÜRKAK with a delay. After the request the screen shows that the number is awaited and the list refreshes itself every 25 seconds for about three minutes.
• No manual refresh needed: When the number arrives the device badge turns green; the technician does not have to guess whether it has come through.
• Limited polling: Automatic refresh runs only after a request and for a limited time; no connection is kept open permanently, so battery and mobile data are not wasted.

• Numbers cannot be typed in: Certificate and TBDS numbers are assigned by the system; the edit screen has no free-text number entry.
• Transfers only with permitted numbers: TBDS numbers belonging to cancelled records can be transferred within 29 days. The app lists only the transferable numbers offered by the server, together with the days remaining.
• The affected record is stated clearly: The transfer confirmation states that the other record holding the number will be affected and that the action cannot be undone.
• Revision confirmation: When a certificate that is active in TBDS is about to be approved, the user is asked to confirm that the revision number will increase and the certificate will be regenerated. If the user cancels, nothing is sent.
• Edit lock: The server decides which fields may be edited according to the certificate status; only fields that actually changed are sent, so untouched fields are not overwritten during concurrent editing.
